I'm doing my swap convertion now and far as I see the rear mount itself is the same but the bracket is different. I ordered my bracket from Manchester Honda it was like 40 bucks or u could get one from the junk yard. The passenger side mount is what is giving me problems, I'm trying to find out if thier is a mount made so I don't have to cut and reweld my mount.

It could be worst! my boy did his swap and is driving his coupe with a chain wraped around the trans to the frame and calls that his mount! True Deffinnition of Hood riged!!!!!

Ok, after a hole day of reading I found alot of info on cb7.com. Reading through the threads on thier sofar I see 3 different ways of handeling the A/T to M/T mount problem. All of them are pretty simple to do depending on which way u do it.

1. Is the true and most involved way. The old drill out the spot welds and move the mount forward. I say its more involved because I don't thing anybody has a welding machine laying aronud in thier basement or someware. Just know A/T bracket that U cut out is different from the M/T bracket that U weld back in to the frame rail. Honda dose list both brackets, and they do have different part numbers for each bracket.

2. Cb7 does offer a straight bolt up mount kit for F and H swaps. The kits are $275 for the the full kit, or $110 for just the trans Mount. The only catch to this option is the mounts are made to order, so they will not make them till u order them. They say the mounts come with in 2 1/2 weeks, so if your in a rush this is not the way to go. Plus the custom mounts are made of a stronger material, which is good. But if U just install the trans mount, the other 3 mounts take more of a beating because of the difference in the play. Custom mounts are stifffer than OEM mounts to try and take some of the vibration off of the engine. The only question I still have about thies mounts is: do the mounts still need to be shimed 3/8" to level the engine.

3. Is an option i found on thier too. They say the mount out of a 5th gen accord will do the job but u will have to shim the driverside mount 3/8". To do this U will need the mount and bracket, and depending on if U are useing an F or H series tranny U will have to tap the tranny case to bolt it up. They say the 92 and up Prelude mounts work too, but i seen some threads up thier that said: Useing the prelude mount on a car that is dropped 2" or lower will make the driversider axle to lockup in tight turns on the gas. I did also see many threads that said they did it and didn't have one problem out of it.

Tomorrow I'm going to the junkyard to grab the mount to see what is what with it. when I get back I will post the link for the custom mounts and some pic's of them. They offer more than 150 colors and powder coating for them.

i thought this thread was for A/T H22 into a wagon.

keep in mind that 96-up wagons are OBDII so they require more wiring etc. it's easy for you pre-94 wagons to swap. lucky!

" i thought this thread was for A/T H22 into a wagon."

Me too. Especially for a 96-97 OBD2. Do H22's eat Auto trannies?
