1991 accord wagon h22a swap

Post by Jhadad268 » Thu Feb 09, 2017 12:28 am

I have a 91 auto accord wagon that I really want to drop an h22a with 5 speed manual transmission into. Does anyone know if there are mounts for this or has anyone done something like this? Thanks

Hey man - tons of info on this swap and probably even some automatic to stick swap info as well as you will need to do some extra steps to make that happen.. Did you decide what year h22a engine you are getting?

Auto to 5-speed is a fairly straightforward swap (someone did it on my 97 EX wagon before I bought it). You do need a donor car for the manual transmission parts - you can buy them new from Honda, but it would be expensive.

I know the prelude forums have tons of info on this. H23 to h22. f23 to h22 also. as far as I remember they should including mounts should drop right in. and g23 where you swap f22/f23 heads with a h23 or h22 making it a dohc. the f series has a longer stroke which dropped the compression lower making it great for boosting. hope this helps.
