looking to get some rims for accord wagon. the are mk motorsport mk1. ill have to redrill them for the 5x114 bolt pattern but i am more converend about the with of the rims. the rims themselves are 18x8.5 +38mm Off Set. i dont really know how offsets work. will thes potentally fit with a 2.5 drop. i searched many of the wheels threads and i seen some people running up to a 9.5" wide rim. with the 38mm+ offset will they be able to tuck or are they going to stick out.

according to that website with a 94 honda accord the widest rim i could run is a 18x7.5

but i guess it did help me find some tire sizes'

might be going with 225/35/18

says they fit up to 8.5"

on the link I posted you can change the offset and see how it affects the position of the rim and tire

you can enter the size of whatever you're running now and see how much farther in or out the wheels you're looking at will go

then you can measure out from the wheels you have on now and get a pretty good idea what's gonna fit or not

Depending on your tire choice they should fit fine...I have seen 11" wheels on the back of a 5th gen. With that offset you should have a nice flush tuck also. But I'm no pro...this does take some research and calculating to get perfect.

thats the thing, right now i have a 98 gsr sedan, i dont have my accord wagon yet, so i really can compare sizes. hopefully within the next week ill decided on what wagon i want, i got my eyes on a local 94 ex 5 spd black on grey, asking $2500.

right now i am in new york at my inlaws and someone local is selling the mk rims for cheap. i am going to meet up in the morning to grab them, just wanted to make sure they where too wide or where going to stick out too far.

what do you mean you'll have to redrill them for the 5 lug bolt pattern? are you 5 lug and they are 4? or is it the other way around?

as for the 18x8.5 +38 it will fit with no problem, with your drop your going to have to VERY SLIGHTLY roll the fenders front and rear just to be safe in the hard turns. the one thing that will get you though is tire size, if you get a huge balloon tire on that wheel then it will rub, i'd recommend 225/40/18 on all 4, that is what i have on my 8.5's and 9.5's and they have a bit of stretch on the rear but the fronts are perfect.

yeah i was going to go with the 225/35/18 in know it will effect my ride quality. i am going to convert the accord to 5 lug, but it will obsully be to a 5x114 pattern. the rims i want to get are mk motorsport mk1 and they are 5x112 so they will need to be redrilled.
