There is a thread on Honda Tech for Ksport coilovers. Guy in there can get you VERY close to that $700 (quoted me I think $730 shipped) I have had those AND they are fully adjustable. Those Type 1's are just height adjustable. If thats what you want/need ok, but you could have full adjustability for just a little more.

if it was my $$ I'd check out http://www.shox.com you can get a set of koni yellows for $484 shipped, or konis + B&G springs for $709 shipped ...

IMHO koni yellows are better than all of the cheapie "made in China" coilovers (basically anything under $1000). They're super high quality, with adjustable dampening and lifetime warranty from a company that's been making shocks for F1, Indy cars, Rally cars, Touring cars etc for 50+ years

And the adjustable perches let you fine-tune your car's ride height. This is especially good on wagons where the rear end tends to sit lower

I will definitely check it out.
I have tokico springs on my car now. I think they would match up well with the Koni yellows.

I'll be purchasing a set of Tein Basics pretty soon here. I had a set of Tein HA's on my 95 civic coupe. I just recently sold the car, and the HA's had 80k miles or so on em! They were never rebuilt and i never had any problems with them. I also had a set of SS on a 94 Accord Coupe i used to have, and also had no problems.

I'm not gonna say that K-Sports or anything else made by Bor-Chuann (BC, Megan, Function Form, D2, PIC etc) is a bad product, cause for the price you can't beat em a far as features go. BUT from what i've personally witnessed their product can't match the reliability of companies like Tein, Hotbits, KW, Bilstein, Koni etc. Also, with all the aforementioned brands excluding D2 & K-Sport, if you need to have them rebuilt you are basically SOL. With Tein, you can send them in to either their West Coast facility or East Coast facility and a few weeks later you are back in business without having to shell out a bunch of cash for a whole new set of coilovers.

I realize that dollar to dollar, the Tein's can't compete feature-wise with any of the BC made stuff, but for my application (street performance) the Tein's make more sense as reliability takes precedence over adjustability.
