300 K Honda Accord Wagon

Turned 300,000 miles today, St. Patrick's Day - it's a green 1991 Honda Accord EX "Station" (note the setting please?) Wagon, 5 speed manual, never replaced the clutch. Tough Wisconsin Winters, it's taken a beating. Marge the Honda, she's my daily ride to work at Road America, vacations, Indycar races, towing a little trailer, camping... everywhere.

Just like the 200K photo, it's the actual spot where the ODO turned over, not some simulated setting.

As inspirational and heart warming as an Accord classic should be. But does she participate in the Indy races? Glad to see its still lookin good and running strong.

Very impressive. I doubt I'll get there - my 1997 wagon only has 130k on it and I only drive 4,000 to 5,000 miles a year.

Grats - I got roughly 330k before mine finally lost a cylinder... I would need to go check the odometer..

Can't wait to see 400k!

Thanks everyone. The car now has Wisconsin blue plates (collectors) my insurance is for light use, I said under 2,000 miles a year. I'll keep running it on Sundays when the weather is nice. That's foam and bondo and house paint around the wheel wells. WI is tough on cars, most won't make ten years in daily use, if driven in the winter with the salt. Parked under the tress with a tarp over it, waiting for Spring. Her pretty grey hat has been removed and is stored in a shed.

Nope but she did drive to the 500, also some Indycar at Iowa Speedway:

Note front row in the infield, Marge the Honda is special.

Indycar at The Milwaukee Mile:

last race she was there.

Going home with the Little Guy, yes the car had a trailer hitch, I didn't do much hauling but I'm pretty sure it's the original clutch. I never replaced it?

Road America near station 4A, oh look, unfinished bodywork filler before it was painted green. Fall 2012

And for years, Marge was a regular at corner 3 flagging station, Road America. (GoPro on a stick = NOT a drone which would be illegal there and pretty much everywhere by now)

She's Marge because there's a Marge Simpson on the dash to protect the car. ;-)

INDYCAR, NASCAR/CWTS/Xfinity, SCCA, IMSA, Lights, Atlantics, Grand-Am, SVRA, Pro-Mazda, Porsche cup races, the complete list is much longer.

I did write to a Texas Honda dealer again, I'm willing to settle on an newer Accord EX four door, but it has to have a manual transmission. I keep watching eBay but the last 1997 wagon that kept coming up was listed as a stick, but had an automatic VIN number. Guy relisted it wrong like that?

I suppose if someone was dedicated they could get an Automatic and have it converted to stick? I wonder what that costs... :supz:

I don't drive fast or hard but I will admit to being in some unusual fields and places. Like an access trail that jeeps would get stuck, if it rained. I'd say I replaced the ball joints at least four times. The one weakest link, or maybe because I drove off-road for some camping access and work related? :D

That's why I want another one, best car I ever owned and I've owned a variety since 1968. If it wasn't for Wisconsin and the salt, I'd still have my daily driver.

Looking for a Honda Accord with manual transmission, looking, looking...

Keep lookin' you'll find one! might have to range a ways away from WI though...

i just replaced the upper control arms of my 94 EX 5 sp, but it only has around 140k on it i'd guess (odo didn't work the 4 years before i got it in 2017)
