i'd go leather, it's way cheaper than VIP which leads to more money elsewhere.

My girl decided SHE Wants to VIP the interior. I did decide to tint the front windshield though, $90, looks slick compared to OEM, looks like a suburban windshield. Will post a picture when I get home.

Got a price quote for the leather install, I'm too worried to do it myself, $450 so that'll be done before april. Black exterior with charcoal interior, going to look amazing.

All I'm waiting on is my camera and mirror. As soon as that's in I'll post more pictures.

Anyone know why I can't post pictures?

Explain how you're doing it and then maybe someone can explain why it's not. I did find that if you have alot of posts with pictures, you can reach a limit. Solution is to go to control panel and delete all the attachments showing.

Yup, that did the trick, here's a before/after of the windshield tint. And here's another one since the sun decided to come out.

Glad I could help!!! You've got sun? I'm in "sunny" L.A. and it's been raining since last Friday! By the way, the tint looks great.

I'll be going to a pick n pull probably this weekend to see if I can get some blanks to cover those awful holes. Other than that I'm just waiting for my fog light switch to come in so I can get my rear view camera set up. After that, it's black leather for the wagon in march!

96 EX VIP.

Post by Inetba » Thu Jan 06, 2011 12:39 am

Just thought I'd update. Installed a new much better dash kit, Metra instead of cheap walmart.

But the best part, for christmas my girlfriend got me the TAS manumatic shifter and wood trim kit,
And tonight she helped me install it. Outside. In the cold. For hours. At night.

Decided to take a couple more pictures, anyone know a better way of posting pictures other than making them attachments in the post?

I went to the junkyard today, only had 4 accords strangely enough, got some blanks and found the trim piece for the lighter. I also found various odds and screws I needed so I'll be putting those in when the temperature goes above freezing.

One accord had leather seats but they were slashed beyond recognition. I plan on going back to tear engines apart and see if I can put them back together. Kinda like practicing but without wrecking mine.

So, turns out those upper switch blanks are NOT the size of the lower switch blanks on the SE. I measured the openings. The upper blanks are too big. Looks like I'm going to have to go to the dealership on this one.

Got new headlights, 8500k xenon. Light output isn't the greatest but I knew that before I bought them. I bought them for the look.

Still waiting on my fog light switch to get the back-up camera installed, in the meantime I was going to use my tax return to get the leather seats installed but an investment opportunity sprung up that I couldn't pass up so the leather seats are on hold for the next three months which means so is my VIP project.

Makes me sad because that means I may not be completely ready by the time the meet comes around in december. I'll still try to go but no promises.
