 Post subject: oil light ?

ok guys, i really dont know alot about engines besides the basics like changin my oil and sparkplugs(pretty much the basic shit) but i have a problem with my oil light flashing....I changed my oil the other day beacuse it came on and ive already put 3k on it since ive bought it...now that ive done that its flashing...it only does it after about 20mins of the car being run...like i said i dont know alot about engines just the basics....possibility that the oil pump might be goin out???? sensor??? motor bearings?????...any help would be appreciated...ive had it parked for the past 3 days cause the fear of messin something up, thanks guys

If anyone else has problems like this, he likely problem is that the previous owner never changed the oil, and so the fresh oil has knocked loose a bunch of crap. Change the oil again. If that doesn't help, you may have to remove the oil pan and clean out all of the sludge. If that is the case, I would suggest running a motor flush through before you begin cleaning.

I wouldn't suggest a motor flush because sometimes that just pushes out small metal shavings into bad places and causes issues. Imo the only time you should do a motor flush is if you're taking out your engine and cleaning it out thoroughly
I would check my gaskets especially on the oil pump.I had similar issue and gasket was going bad not the oil pump,but it could also be oil pump being clogged or going bad. Check oil level make sure there's no leaks
